About Emergency Dentist Scarsdale
One mission: get patients out of dental pain, fast.
Why we exist
Most dental practices in Westchester are full-service offices that fit emergency cases between routine appointments. That works for cleanings — not for someone in real pain. Emergency Dentist Scarsdale was built around a single idea: a practice that exists only to handle dental emergencies, with the staffing, equipment and scheduling to see you the same day.
Furthermore, our schedule has gaps in it on purpose. While general dental offices book weeks ahead, we keep capacity open for the toothache that flared up overnight, the tooth that broke at breakfast, the abscess that swelled up over the weekend. The whole practice is engineered around speed.
What sets us apart
- 100% emergency focus. Every patient on the schedule is an urgent case. No long routine appointments to delay your care.
- Board-certified dentists. Specialist-trained for trauma, infection control, urgent restorations and emergency root canals.
- Walk-ins welcome. No appointment needed during open hours. Most patients are seen within 15 minutes.
- Two locations. Scarsdale (Westchester) and Riverdale (Bronx) — serving over a million people in the metro area.
- Most insurance accepted. PPO plans, self-pay rates, and financing for larger emergency procedures.
Our approach
Three things matter when you’re in pain: speed, accuracy and honesty. First, we triage you on arrival and identify what’s urgent. Then we take a digital X-ray, give you a clear diagnosis, and quote any treatment in writing before we proceed. Finally, you decide what happens next — never the other way around.
If we can save the tooth, we will. If we can’t, we’ll tell you straight, present alternatives (extraction with implant planning, bridges, dentures), and refer you to a regular dentist for ongoing care once the emergency is handled. Honesty is faster than the alternative.
Who we treat
Adults, teenagers and children. Patients with anxiety, complex medical histories, special needs, or no recent dental care. Patients with insurance and patients without. We see everybody — the only requirement is a dental emergency.
In addition, we coordinate handoffs back to your regular dentist (or refer you to a local one if you don’t have one) so your ongoing care stays continuous. Emergency care isn’t a substitute for routine cleanings, exams and restorative follow-up — just the fastest way to get out of pain when it hits.
