Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about appointments, insurance, costs, hours, and what counts as a dental emergency.

Do I need an appointment for an emergency dentist?

No — walk-ins are welcome Mon–Fri 9–5. After-hours emergencies are by appointment; submit a request online.

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe toothache, knocked-out or broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, abscesses, dental trauma, and bleeding after dental work all count and should be seen the same day. If you’re unsure, call us — we’ll triage over the phone.

How quickly can I be seen?

Most walk-in patients are triaged within 15 minutes during open hours and treated in the same visit.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes — we accept most PPO dental insurance plans. We also offer self-pay rates and financing for emergency care. Bring your insurance card and a photo ID.

What if I don’t have insurance?

We offer transparent self-pay rates. Most emergency exams (including X-ray and same-day pain relief) fall in the $150–$400 range. Specific procedures are quoted in writing before treatment, and CareCredit-style financing is available for larger procedures.

Can you treat children?

Yes — we treat patients of all ages, including young children. We coordinate any restorative follow-up with your child’s regular pediatric dentist. See our pediatric emergency page.

Do you provide ongoing dental care?

No — we focus exclusively on emergencies. After we handle your emergency, we’ll refer you to a general or pediatric dentist for cleanings, routine restorations and ongoing care.

Are you open weekends?

Standard hours are Mon–Fri 9am–5pm. Weekend and after-hours emergencies are available by appointment — submit a request online.

Should I go to the ER instead?

For dental pain, broken or knocked-out teeth, abscesses without major facial swelling, lost fillings, and dental trauma, an emergency dentist is faster, cheaper and more effective. Go to the ER for uncontrolled bleeding, jaw fracture, head injury, large facial swelling affecting breathing, or loss of consciousness.

Do you offer sedation?

Yes — nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation are available for anxious patients. Tell us when you call.
